Granta is represented across the United States by a team of sales and technical staff who work from their home offices and from the headquarters of ASM International in Cleveland, OH. ASM International is a strategic partner and investor in Granta. We also work closely with our services partner Material Data Management Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, including locating project staff at their facility.
Working for Granta in North America provides the opportunity to take part in projects with some outstanding engineering enterprises: NASA, General Motors, Boeing, United Technologies, Emerson Electric, and many of the US National Laboratories. It also enables you to apply and develop your skills within the US and Canada while working for a dynamic, international organization, with the chance to travel to Granta’s Cambridge, UK, headquarters once or twice per year for training and business planning meetings. Located in the heart of Bavaria, Nuremberg is an important industrial center with links across Central and Eastern Europe. Its engineering tradition includes manufacturing electrical equipment, mechanical and optical products, motor vehicles, and printed materials. The city is also strong in the fields of automation, energy, and medical technology.
Granta’s Central European team are based here, providing sales, application engineering, and services support to Granta customers in countries including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Example customers are Continental Automotive, Sulzer, ABB, MTU, RUAG, and BMW Designworks. Our Education Division also works with many leading regional universities. The many attractions of Nuremberg include Nürnberger Bratwurst, a special grilled sausage, and Nürnberger Lebkuchen, a kind of ginger bread eaten mainly around Christmas time. Our expanding French team are based in Lyon, a major economic center close to the heart of the country’s chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. It is France’s third largest city, after Paris and Marseille, and is easily reached from both. Like our other locations, it’s also a very good place to live, known for its cuisine and architectural landmarks.
Granta is a leader in materials information technology among French corporations, with customers including Airbus, SNECMA, PSA Peugeot Citroën, and MBDA. Our Education resources are very widely used to teach materials in French universities and across the Lycée system.
