The following terms and conditions apply to the sale of products purchased from Granta Design Limited via our eStore.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. If there is anything that you do not understand please contact us before ordering a product and we will be happy to explain.

Buying from us via our eStore
How to buy
Follow the “Buy” links to the eStore from the relevant Granta website. In order to complete a purchase you will require an account. Sign in, or create a new account by filling in a simple form. You will be offered a choice of one or more products. You will then be able to select items and to check out and pay. Payment via the eStore is via credit card/debit card. For alternative payment methods, contact us.
Checking and correcting
It is up to you to check that your order is correct. You can correct any inputting errors prior to the submission of your order. If, however, you realise that you have made a mistake then contact us and we will see whether it is possible to amend the order.
Invoices will be sent by e-mail after the transaction has been authorized.
Orders cannot be withdrawn without our agreement
By submitting your order via our eStore you are irrevocably offering to buy the goods on these terms and conditions. Our Returns policy is set out below.
Acceptance of orders
We are not obliged to supply goods or services to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order. This is when the contract is made. We confirm acceptance by an email, which will come from “Granta eStore”.
Most of the products sold via our eStore are software, delivered via download or online subscription. We will provide instructions for accessing these products by email. In the unlikely event that you are unable to access these products, please use the Returns process described below.
For physical products, such as books, risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you when the goods leave our premises. We usually ship these products using a courier, with damage during transit covered by the courier’s insurance.
Ordering allows us to use your personal data
By submitting your order you are also allowing us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying the goods or services concerned (including passing your details onto couriers and other subcontractors for the purpose of fulfilling your order). The basis upon which we obtain and use personal data is set out in our Privacy Statement (https://grantadesign.com/privacy/).
Pricing, delivery costs and times
Pricing is clearly quoted before and during the processing of an order on the eStore. Granta Design Limited reserves the right to amend its pricing at any time. Prices are fixed at the time of order confirmation.
Where applicable, delivery charges are clearly shown within the eStore – they will always be listed at the point of order confirmation.
Software products available by download or Internet subscription will normally be made available to you via an e-mail, which will normally be sent immediately, but may take a short while to arrive.
Physical products, such as books, will normally be shipped to you within five (5) working days.
Our VAT Number is GB 636 8580 05.
Our prices (including delivery charges where applicable) do not include VAT. The VAT will be shown at the order confirmation stage. UK customers will have to pay VAT at the prevailing rate. Customers in European Union countries will have the option to enter their VAT/tax number. Entering a valid number means that you will not be charged VAT. Customers outside the European Union will not be charged VAT.
The Granta eStore encrypts all personal information including name, address and credit/debit card details using industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This is intended to ensure that information passed between your computer and this site cannot be read in the unlikely event that it is intercepted by someone else.
When you use this site we will communicate with you by email. Our emails (including any attachments to them) may contain information that is confidential or legally privileged and intended only to be seen by a particular person or persons.
Email transmission cannot be guaranteed to be secure or error free for many reasons – for example information can be intercepted, corrupted, lost, destroyed, delayed or be incomplete or contain viruses. Granta Design Limited accepts no liability for any loss or damage which may be caused by viruses or other pernicious code or third party action. It is your responsibility to check incoming e-mails to your system for viruses.
Provision of information about products
All and any information about the products in the eStore, including pricing, is provided by Granta Design Limited in good faith. The information may be altered without notice at the discretion of Granta Design Limited. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are using the most up-to-date information relating to any particular product.
License terms, warranty, and liability
For information on license terms, warranty, and liability for software products, please refer to the End User License Agreement (EULA) for that product. The EULA will be presented to you before you install the software. If you would like to see a copy of the EULA prior to purchase, please contact us.
For other products (e.g., books, courses) our liability to you for any losses and costs connected with the sale of products or services to you shall not exceed the amount you originally paid us for the products or services in respect of which your claim relates.
Nothing in this statement limits our liability to you in the event of death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or based on a proven claim against us of fraudulent misrepresentation.
We regret that we are not obliged to accept returns or cancellations of contracts:
- for digital items where a software key or a pre-licensed executable has been issued by us
- for products where no returns or cancellations are allowed, which will be stated on the product page
You must ensure the goods are adequately re-packed
Goods which are found to be damaged when returned to Granta Design Limited will not be credited. If return is required this will be at your expense.
Goods which have been opened
To prevent the incidence of software piracy, we are not obliged to accept returns of software products that have been opened. These returns will be handled at our discretion.
You should inspect your order when you receive it for defects or any damage. If you find a defect or any damage you must contact us as soon as possible and no later than within seven (7) working days of receipt of the relevant product(s). We will then at our discretion advise you of the returns procedure. If the goods are found to have been damaged prior to delivery to you, or defective in any way (unless such defect or damage is caused by you or caused in transit (see Risk above)) we will at Granta Design Limited’s discretion replace the goods or refund the price paid by you.
Problems accessing or installing software
In the unlikely event that you are unable to access an online product or cannot install a downloaded product (for example due to security restrictions on your corporate network) please contact us within seven (7) working days of purchase of the relevant product. We will discuss possible remedies and will aim to get your software working. If we cannot remedy the situation we will terminate your access. Where a software executable has been downloaded, we are not obliged to provide a refund due to the risk of software piracy. We will, however, review your situation in good faith and provide a refund at our discretion.
If you wish to exchange goods that you have purchased from Granta Design Limited then you must contact us as soon as possible and no later than within seven (7) working days of receipt of the relevant product(s). We will then at our discretion advise you of the exchange procedure. You must arrange to send the product(s) back to us at your expense and you must ensure that they are unused, undamaged and in exactly the same state that you received them in. Upon receipt of the unopened goods in original condition you will be refunded the value that you paid for them less a handling charge 5% of the order value or a minimum of twenty pounds Sterling (£20) plus VAT, whichever is greater.

This site is controlled and operated from England. The terms and conditions of this site and any dispute about them or in relation to this site shall be governed by and subject to English Law. In the event that a dispute arises out of or relating to these terms and conditions or the use of or access to this site, such dispute shall be subject to the exclusivity of an English Court.
