GRANTA MI:Simulation
Materials data is essential for simulation. The GRANTA MI:Simulation Package ensures that analysts get the right materials data, in the right format, error-free.
Generate accurate materials models, with full traceability. Combine with authoritative reference data. Deploy data for use in CAE, increasing confidence in results and re-use of data – the videos show two examples.
Key benefits
Save time and cost by providing the right materials data to analysts, directly within their CAE environment.
Manage materials property data and materials models maximizing reuse and increasing confidence.
Enable efficient, accurate derivation of simulation data from tests, with full traceability.
Connect the material datasets used CAD in CAE, enabling gaps to be filled early on, minimizing delays.
What systems are supported?
Granta has strategic partnerships with leading providers of CAE software, enabling direct access to materials data from apps embedded within these systems. We also provide tools to export data to other systems – examples include LS-DYNA, Nastran, PAM-CRASH, PAM-STAMP, Patran, and RADIOSS.
Granta is part of the ANSYS organization, the leader in engineering simulation. We enable fast access to materials data for users of ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS Mechanical, ensuring accurate, consistent inputs for simulation.
Granta has worked with BETA CAE to integrate GRANTA MI with the ANSA simulation software, supporting both Windows and Linux versions.
Granta and Altair collaborate to ensure that materials data in the GRANTA MI system can be accessed from within the HyperMesh environment.
Granta supports synchronization of materials data between GRANTA MI and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, as well as direct access to managed materials data from within the Abaqus/CAE simulation software from SIMULIA.
Support for Dassault Systemes software >
Granta and Siemens PLM are Foundation Software and Technology Partners, supporting direct access to materials data from within the NX environment.
Support for Siemens PLM software >
GRANTA MI export technology enables materials property data stored in a GRANTA MI database to be exported in the materials cards format required by your specific choice of simulation system. It is also possible to integrate in-house modeling and simulation tools with GRANTA MI. Formats that have been supported include:
- LS-DYNA
- Nastran
- PAM-CRASH
- PAM-STAMP
- Patran
- RADIOSS
