Granta invites you to explore life at the innovative Cambridge software company

Cambridge, UK. Granta Design today issued an open invitation to its informal and fun Open House Evening, taking place on 21 November from 6.30pm at its Cambridge office on Clifton Road. The no-cost event offers the opportunity to explore what life is like at a growing company with top engineering customers (e.g. Rolls-Royce, NASA, Boeing, Jaguar Land Rover) and a highly skilled multi-cultural team.

For more than 20 years, Granta’s mission has been to lead materials information technology: that’s software that helps companies to manage information about the engineering materials that they use (metal, plastics, and composites) and to make smart decisions about those materials that enable better, greener, safer products. Granta also provides software and resources to support materials education. Founded by Professors Mike Ashby and David Cebon as a spin-out from Cambridge University Engineering Department in 1994, the company has grown to support a worldwide customer base of engineering enterprises and universities.

Granta is growing

Granta is growing

Granta has grown from 40 to more than 150 people in the past 10 years. As the company continues to expand, there are many employment opportunities, in areas including software development, applying materials engineering expertise, marketing, and sales. Everyone attending the Open House can find out more about the full range of opportunities, and speak to the people already working in that role. This is a unique chance to get to know the company making a material difference in industries ranging from aerospace to consumer electronics. And to find out more about Granta’s unique ethos, and notable achievements.

Beverley Turner, Careers at Granta Design, said: “Granta is filled with talented people who can thrive and develop in a career they’re passionate about. We want everyone to reach their full potential, and that’s one of the many reasons why we continue to expand as a company. We’re now recruiting for a variety of roles, and look forward to meeting everyone at our Open House on 21st November. Even if you’re not looking for a career change right now, come and join us for our celebratory evening, complete with great food and drinks. See you there.”
